Regulations:

The Senior Women's Amateur Championship is sponsored by the Women's Kentucky State Golf Association.

The tournament will be conducted under the U.S.G.A. rules with such exceptions as the Tournament Committee may announce by local rule sheets.

In case of a tie, there will be a playoff for overall gross winner. Players must be present at the time of playoff or forfeit their right to title.

Ties for net and gross winners in each group will be played off on the card determined by U.S.G.A. recommended procedure.

Entry Requirements:

  • Contestants must be legal residents of Kentucky.
  • A contestant's club must be a member of the Women's Kentucky State Golf Association with dues paid for 2007.
  • Entries are open to women amateur golfers who have reached their 55th birthday by September 10, 2007.
  • The field is limited to the first 140 entries with earliest postmarks.
  • A current USGA Handicap card or photocopy MUST be included with all entries. Handicaps will be updated for the tournament.
  • No refunds unless the field is full and names are on the waiting list.
  • Entries may be printed from 2007 Senior Women's Application.

Award Presentations

Practice Round:

Practice rounds may be played Monday, September 10, 2007, teeing off between 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Tee times prior to September 10 are available Monday through Friday.

Age Groups and Prizes:

Prizes will be awarded in 5 age groups according to ages as of September 10, 2007 as follows:

  • Freshman, 55 - 59
  • Sophormore, 60 - 64
  • Junior, 65 - 69
  • Senior, 70 - 74
  • Super Senior, 75+

Each age group will be awarded 3 low net and 3 low gross prizes (Exception - Super Senior Prizes are according to the number entered in that category) as well as special prizes in each age group on both days. The overall gross winner will be declared the Senior Women's Kentucky State Champion.

Fees:

  • Tournament entry fee is $75.00.
  • Cart fee for two (2) days is $TBA - this does not include practice round.
  • Social fee per guest is $15.00

Checks should be made payable to WKSGA and should be included with entry form before the deadline of August 31, 2007.
